Calling Community Summer Youth Programs!
BCMW Community Services is now welcoming summer youth programs interested in partnering with us to support summer programming for youth across our four-county service area. Bond, Clinton, Marion and Washington counties.
Through this collaboration, BCMW will support programs that help deter at-risk youth from crime, juvenile delinquency, substance use, and teen pregnancy, while promoting personal responsibility, integrity, discipline, and respect.
What partnering with BCMW means:
Serving local youth through summer activities, reading programs, and/or summer feeding programs
Financial support to assist an average of 300 youth (approximately $33 per youth)
Collaboration with a trusted community agency focused on youth development
Flexibility — partner programs handle their own advertising and participant recruitment
Making a direct impact in at least one of the four counties we serve

The safety and well-being of the more than 100 children served at BCMW Head Start in Centralia, Illinois is our highest priority. BCMW Head Start is a federally funded early childhood program dedicated to providing high-quality learning experiences and comprehensive support for children and families throughout the region.
Following a teacher-related incident on February 26, BCMW Head Start is working closely with the Office of Head Start and will temporarily suspend services at the Centralia location for up to 30 days.
We understand this disruption may be challenging for families. BCMW Head Start is actively coordinating with nearby programs and community partners to help identify alternative options and support continuity of services for affected children and families.
During the temporary closure, BCMW Head Start will work with consultants and specialists to review and strengthen policies, procedures, and staff training to further ensure a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for every child.
We remain committed to the highest standards of child safety, care, and program quality, and will share updates with families and the community as more information becomes available.
